A bull elephant reaches up with his trunk to feed on the pods of an acacia tree. Elephants in Mana Pools will sometimes stand on their hind legs to browse higher in the trees as the lower pods are eaten. Smoke from fires set in Zambia for clearing land drifts over to Mana Pools and casts a bluish haze in the background.
